Other Adult Programs

These programs are available on Thursday evenings only, in conjunction with the Creative Painting Program.

As we can fit it into our schedule, we offer other classes that our students
can take. We try to run each at least once in the year. Some are listed below.

APPLIED DRAWING: The classes will explore the fundamentals of using pencils and/or charcoals as they apply to each project. We will look at the principles and elements of art, composition, dimension, artistic license and all
of the components that help create a great, realistic piece of work.

PEN & INK DRAWING: Take your shading skills to the next level by learning
the strokework that is important in shading with pen and ink. We'll also explore
negative drawing using chalk and a medium that's known as Scratchboard.

PENCIL CRAYON TECHNIQUES: Explore the various techniques for
using coloured pencils. Through a series of projects, we'll learn the different
effects you can achieve with this versatile medium!

WATERCOLOURS: An introduction to painting with watercolours, including stretching paper, watercolour tips, techniques and projects.

ZENDOODLING: A fun-filled class focusing on the basic techniques of
structured doodling. Simply put, it's a "doodle picture" constructed from a
series of different shapes and styles. If you're a doodler, this class is sure to
inspire you with great new avenues to explore!

All adult programs run for 6 weeks, 2 hour classes
